The milestones of the company’s history:
1948
Founding and registration of the original nucleus of today’s company under the name “VEB Glühlampenwerk Plauen””
1957 – 1963
Development and registration of the new trademark NARVA and Founding of the trademark association NARVA
1966
Development and production of the first quartz-iodine lamps for car headlights
1968
Beginning of the era of halogen technology
1974 – 1987
Series production of halogen automotive lamps with quartz glass technology
1982 – 1987
Development of hard glass technology for H4 lamps
1987
Production of the first halogen miniature lamps with tempered glass
1990
Takeover by Philips and company name as “NARVA Glühlampenwerk Plauen GmbH”
1991 – 1997
Development of the Philips Automotive Lighting Business Center Plauen
1994
Product development HB3 / HB4 Halogen lamps for North America and Asia
1996
Relocation of marketing activities for all non-automotive lamps to Plauen and expansion of the production of special lamps
1998
Installation of OEM sales office in Plauen, start of production of fog and HIR1 lamps
1999
Production of the 9007 for the US market
2006
Realignment of the factory to the OEM and spare parts market
2007
Investments in the construction of a “H7” hard glass production in Plauen
2008
Merger of “NARVA Speziallampen GmbH Plauen” with Philips Technologie GmbH
2012
Acquisition by BAVARIA Industries Group AG and re-founding of vosla GmbH with the two brands vosla and NARVA
2013
Comprehensive investment in MFR III line and premiere of the newly developed LED filament bulb “vosLED”
2014 – 2016
Various awards for General Lighting approaches, i.a. German Brand Award, Red Dot Design Award, Federal Ecodesign Award and Best in Class (Stiftung Warentest)
2018
New owner DI Mittelstand, relaunch of the Vosla-CI and external appearance as well as promotion of international activities
